No quiet days: the CNE, a Jays homestand, and Fan Expo
The CNE runs every day of this week from 10 AM, and the Blue Jays are home six of seven — Kansas City Tuesday through Thursday, then Seattle through Sunday. Fan Expo Canada fills the Metro Toronto Convention Centre Thursday through Sunday, and the weekend stacks it all: a Jays day game and Toronto FC Saturday, then the Jays, AFC Toronto, and Iron Maiden’s second Scotiabank Arena night Sunday. After two weeks of nightly Line 1 work, TTC lists no subway closures for this week. No Gardiner or DVP closures are announced; Highway 401 keeps nightly lane and ramp work plus the around-the-clock Progress Avenue on-ramp closure.

NIGHTLY LANE AND RAMP WORKNo full closures announced for the 401’s own lanes this week. Nightly lane work, mostly 11 PM to 5 AM, runs eastbound between Yonge Street and Leslie Street, Victoria Park Avenue and Neilson Road, and Islington Avenue and Weston Road, and westbound from Bayview Avenue to Hoggs Hollow and near Morningside Avenue; daytime work holds one right lane on the westbound collector near the Rouge River through September 1. Overnight ramp closures hit the eastbound collector off-ramps at Yonge Street and Allen Road (Wednesday to Friday nights), the westbound off-ramp at Kingston Road and on-ramp at Port Union Road, and the Highway 400 ramps where it meets the 401. The eastbound on-ramp at Progress Avenue stays closed around the clock through October 9. If one of these ramps is yours, use the next one over.
